Welcome to the Northern Territory! Your adventure begins in the tropical city of Darwin early this morning at 7am. Set off from Darwin and head south to Litchfield National Park, a huge sandstone plateau with dozens of waterfalls. Explore Florence Falls, Wangi Falls and the Buley Rockholes. After a picnic lunch, stroll through steamy rainforests and cool off with a dip in one of Litchfield's picturesque swimming holes. We then hit the road to Wulna Country, where your Limilngan-Wulna hosts - the land's Traditional Owners - will greet you with a Cul Cul or 'Welcome to Country'. Learn about their culture during bush tucker talks and didgeridoo and basket weaving demonstrations. Enjoy a camp dinner before climbing into bed at a private campsite in the Mary River region.

Darwin/Litchfield National Park/Mary River

After breakfast this morning, head onto the water on a wildlife cruise in the Mary River Wetlands, a network of waterways home to crocodiles and native bird species. Then head into Kakadu National Park proper and discover ancient Aboriginal rock art in Ubirr. Your leader will lead an interpretive cultural walk through the numerous rock galleries, before you climb to the top of a lookout for views over the Nardab floodplain. Tonight, relax by the pool at the Kakadu campground and enjoy a group dinner.

Mary River/Kakadu National Park

This morning head to Bowali Visitors Centre. Here you have the option to take a scenic flight over Kakadu (at your own expense). The flight takes in views over the Arnhem Land escarpment, vast flood plains and billabongs. Later spend time exploring Kakadu's other major Aboriginal rock art site - Nourlangie (Burrunggui), while your guide provides a glimpse into how the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people live. After lunch head south and stop to visit the historic gold-mining centre of Pine Creek and its Gold Mining Centre. Stop for a quick dip at Maguk or Gunlom Falls, before continuing on to Katherine, where you'll settle in for the night at a private campsite near Nitmiluk National Park (Katherine Gorge).

Depending on the season, head out on a morning cruise along the inky waters of Katherine Gorge, or canoe between red rock walls that are up to 70 metres high (both of these activities are optional and at your own expense). This 23 million-year-old landscape was formed by the Katherine River, which flows from Arnhem Land out to the Timor Sea. After lunch head to the beautiful Edith falls for one last refreshing swim in the huge plunge pool before we hit the road back to Darwin, where your adventure comes to an end on arrival.

This adventure will take you from the coastal town of Airlie Beach out into the turquoise ocean of the Whitsundays on board a comfortable cruising yacht. Spend time exploring some of the stunning islands within the archipelago, snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef and appreciating the unique tropical nature, wildlife and culture of the area. But most of all, just relax and enjoy yourself - you're in paradise!

Welcome to Airlie Beach, the stunning gateway to the Whitsunday Islands. Take your time today making your way to check in to your accommodation, before meeting your local leader and group for a short welcome meeting at 4pm in the hotel foyer. From here, your leader will take you for a stroll along the coast adjacent to Airlie Beach, where you'll be greeted by a local member of the First Nations Ngaro family. They will welcome you to country and provide you with an overview of the Indigenous culture and history of the magnificent Whitsundays that you're about to explore. Then head on a short orientation walk of the town, before you have the evening to yourselves. Perhaps get to know your fellow travellers over dinner, then maybe head to one of Airlie Beach's quirky bars to chat over a drink.

Airlie Beach

After breakfast, you'll head out of town to explore the majestic Cedar Creek Falls, and its surrounding tropical flora and fauna. See white cedar trees, alexander palms, wild orchids, colourful butterflies and many species of birds. Your local guide will then take you on an eco-walk to the top of the falls where you can climb over the rocks and take a refreshing dip in the natural pools, a true highlight. All the while, Australia's native wildlife will be your only companions as you soak up the stunning views. If you are lucky you'll even spot some resident turtles. Later head back to the coast to a secluded, white sandy beach. Enjoy the ocean views and large refreshing swimming pool. Relax under the palms, take a dip in the pool and enjoy an included lunch. The afternoon is free for you to enjoy all that Airlie Beach has to offer. Perhaps head up to the Honeyeater Lookout for amazing views over Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Archipelago, or simply continue to relax by the beach at Airlie Beach Lagoon.

Today you'll board a cruising yacht, which will be your home for the next two nights, and set sail into the tropical waters surrounding the Whitsundays. Your afternoon will be spent at sea, where you can enjoy your time on board unwinding with a good book or chatting with your travel buddies. We'll plan our three days according to the weather and your group's preference, with stops for snorkelling with all gear provided, and exploring the islands. Visit the stunning Whitehaven Beach, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Australia. A short bushwalk inland will take you to the equally famous Hill Inlet Lookout for a gorgeous view of the beach below and the swirling sands of Hill Inlet. The swirling sands are created by the ever-changing tides, which leave behind a kaleidoscope of blue and white. Tonight, you'll be treated to dinner on board as you get to know your fellow travellers. Then, perhaps retire to the deck and relax under the stars.

Whitsunday Islands

Today will be spent all at sea, exploring more of the area. Maybe do some more snorkelling and search out the marine mammals and tropical fish living amid the colourful coral. Perhaps try your hand at sailing, by helping the crew hoist the sails and steer the boat. On our small yacht, you'll be able to steer into more remote locations and snorkel in spots that are far away from the crowds. All meals today will be provided on the boat, so you can just kick back and relax on the deck.

Get ready for an unforgettable morning! Hidden away from the crowds, head to a special snorkelling spot on the secluded Langford Reef. Hop off the boat at Langford Island and take a short walk to an inspiring lookout point, where you'll also find an old boab tree. The views here are second to none - look out across the quiet bay, the nearby islands and your boat moored in the still waters, and if you're really lucky, you may even spot some sea turtles. Then it's time to continue back to Airlie Beach where you'll disembark at the marina in the afternoon. Head to your accommodation to check in and then enjoy a free afternoon. Tonight is your last night so why not regroup and head out for one last dinner in town. Welcome to South Australia! Your adventure begins in Adelaide where a meeting will take place at 8am for you to meet up with your local leader and the other travellers joining you for your adventure. Then it's time to hit the road and begin the journey to Port Augusta. Be sure to keep your eyes on the window - community sculptures made from recycled agricultural machinery can be spotted along the way. Make a stop in Crystal Brook to snap a selfie with the Big Goanna, then drive past the Barunga Ranges on your way to Port Pirie. Check out examples of colonial architecture and views of the Spencer Gulf before completing the final leg of today's journey to Port Augusta, where the outback meets the ocean. Head to the Australian Arid Lands Botanic Gardens to grab some lunch at the cafe inspired by native ingredients, then take a guided walk around the botanic gardens to discover the diverse and resilient range of plants that exist in the outback. The afternoon is yours to check out the Wadlata Outback Centre, Port Augusta Cultural Centre or relax by the local swimming pool.

Adelaide/Port Augusta

Say goodbye to Port Augusta and venture on to the town of Wudinna. Along the way, make a stop at the Big Galah in Kimba, said to mark the halfway point across Australia. While here you'll also check out the impressive artwork painted on silos. Carry on to Wudinna, where on arrival you'll have a free afternoon to climb Mt Wudinna, visit the Big Farmer statue or hang out in one of the town's relaxed bakeries or cafes.

After breakfast this morning, head out for a full day exploring the Gawler Ranges National Park, discovering the region's fascinating flora, fauna and natural history. Pay a visit to Sturt's Lake where a walk over coloured rocks will reveal how the land has changed over time, then head to Mt Sturt where a diverse array of plant life can be admired. Continue to the Old Paney Homestead, a restored sheep station which provides a glimpse into the history of the Gawler Ranges. Next up is a visit to the Yandinga Gorge where you'll stop and take in the scenery over lunch (you may even be joined by some yellow-footed rock-wallabies!). Take a short walk through a stunning valley to the Organ Pipes, awe-inspiring rock formations created by volcanic activity more than 1500 million years ago. After an exciting day, return to Wudinna for the evening, but not before stopping off at Pildappa Rock, where the rippling wave formations make for a spectacular sight.

Gawler Ranges National Park/Wudinna

Your first stop of the day is the lovely little town of Ceduna where you'll grab some lunch, take a walk along the peaceful jetty and pay a visit to the local art centre showcasing Aboriginal art by artists from the Far West Coast of South Australia. Travel onwards to Penong, home to the windmill museum where you'll find Bruce, the largest windmill in Australia. Your journey continues as you travel to the Scotdesco Aboriginal Community in the locality of Bookabie, named for the descendants of the founding Scott family, who still reside in and manage the community today. The community operates as a social and cultural hub while providing employment for local families. Spend the evening in Scotdesco, and be sure to keep an eye out for southern hairy-nosed wombats roaming the property!

Ceduna/Penong/Bookabie

After breakfast this morning, make the journey out to Head of Bight, one of Australia's top whale watching spots, located at the edge of the Nullarbor Plain. From soaring limestone cliffs to a wash of white sand dunes, this slice of South Australia is certainly fantastic to look at, but the real stars of the show are the southern right whales who use the bight as a breeding ground and to calve during their winter migration. Various viewing platforms allow you to observe whales when they're visiting, and also take in fantastic views of the Bunda Cliffs and surrounding landscape. Return to Scotdesco for an evening at leisure.

Head of Bight/Bookabie

Take part in a cultural activity this morning at Scotdesco to gain a deeper understanding of the community, then it's time to say your goodbyes and head to the famous Lake Macdonnell, one of the most iconic images of South Australia. With a road cutting through the middle, one side of this salt lake is a vivid pink, while the other side is a deep blue - this striking natural phenomenon is a sight you won't soon forget! From here, it's just a short drive to Cactus Beach, one of Australia's premier surf spots. Watch the locals catch some waves before continuing on to Streaky Bay, a delightful seaside town on the western side of the Eyre Peninsula. With a laidback atmosphere and gorgeous coastline, Streaky Bay is the perfect place to stretch out on the beach or take a dip in the clear waters of the jetty pool. The historic town centre is pleasant to wander around, and be sure to ask your leader for tips on the best places to dine tonight.

Hit the road and head to Murphy's Haystacks, a series of wind worn boulders and pillars dating back some 100,000 years. Then it's on to Point Labatt, home to the only permanent colony of Australian sea lions on the mainland. Watch these endearing creatures bask in the sun, and if you're lucky you may even catch some seal pups learning how to swim. Your journey then takes you to the seaside town of Port Lincoln where you'll enjoy a free afternoon. With a rich history of industry and seafaring, the Maritime Museum, Mill Cottage Museum and Railway Museum are all well worth a visit, and the city is celebrated for its phenomenal seafood, so be sure to tuck into some tonight.

Start the day with a visit to Coffin Bay National Park, brimming with wildlife both on shore and off. You're in for a real treat on arrival as you hop aboard a boat with a local oyster farmer and cruise over the turquoise waters of Coffin Bay, visiting several oyster farms along the way. The farmer will fill you in on the history of oyster farming in the area, and you'll even have the chance to sample some freshly shucked oysters on board. Explore the waterways of the Coffin Bay township to see this attractive settlement from a different perspective. The rest of the day is spent on further discoveries of the area. Explore the national park - dotted with walking trails, lookout points and an abundance of wildlife, there are few better places to spend an afternoon! Return to Port Lincoln for the evening.

Leave Port Lincoln this morning and check out the Tumby Bay silo art before heading to Lucky Bay, where you'll board a ferry to Wallaroo. Make the drive back to Adelaide, arriving in the early evening, at which point your Eyre Peninsula adventure will come to an end.
